Commercial and Technical Productization for Fact-Based Product Portfolio Management Over Lifecycle

Increasing product variety and expanding commercial offering create a challenge for companies in terms of keeping their portfolio profitable managing it through the entire lifecycle products. Effective productization management (PPM) practices, supported by structure considerations, may hold key profitability over lifecycle. This article examines current practices improvement possibilities PPM, including targets performance indicators (KPI), considering lines global engineering company. The analysis utilizes previous literature, company interviews, relevant materials. demonstrates difficulties, which are stemming from inadequate definition imperfect PPM KPIs An initial framework is formed to support more holistic alongside creating suitable KPIs.
